Things I am learning and making me a better individual…… (A clear and fully integrated grasp of conc

I have kept in mind all the lessons we have done in our ESP 103 class and have used some of them for my portfolio 2. Although I have tried to understand every lesson with full attention and concentration, I still feel that it will take some more time and some experiences to actually get what the topic is trying to convey for example Ch-8 Insight or Ch-5 Idea-Banking+Clarification.

I feel I need some more real life experiences on these topics so that I could get deeper into them and understand the deeper meaning of these topics. Apart from this, I feel my learning streak is going good in this class and I am getting to discover a lot of things about myself as I mentioned earlier in the Portfolio 1. For the article, I have written on Fear of Rejection, I have purposely made it a bit ambiguous so that the reader could develop different perceptions about what I am saying and then finally evaluate them by understanding what I am trying to convey! Also I am understanding the material that we are learning in the class very well and can relate to most of the topics in real life. I have used all the lessons in my reflections and I am trying to implement them different tasks. I learnt how to cope up with failure or rejection and how it is necessary to fail at least once in order to achieve success in that particular task. I have also started to take risks in different work as it will benefit me in future and help me learn a bunch of new things. I have learned how to empathize towards someone and most importantly I clarified the difference between sympathy and empathy. I as a student have also developed a new mindset where I go deep into the customer’s thoughts and try to understand the needs of the customers. Journey mapping and mind mapping have helped in thinking of the customers point of view and understanding them so that businesses could serve them better. ESP 103 class helps its students to view the complications of the world with a broader aspect and I feel this class has changed my perspective about a lot of things. It has helped to me to adapt to positivity and taught me to experience everything in life in order to learn from it. I hope to gather more insights in this class during the upcoming lessons and assignments.
